Lorenzo Musetti, currently sitting on the bubble in the race to qualify for the nitto ATP Tour Finals, kicked off his VIENNA with Stefanos Tsitsipas. Andrey Rublev and Cam Norrie will be in first round action.

The match between Lorenzo Musetti and Stefanos Tsitsipas can be described as a combination of Pre-2025 and those that happened this year. Between 2021 and 2023, the two men played 5 times with Tsitsipas winning every match. Given the majority of wins The tables are turning in 2025. Musetti is tsitispas in both their encounters this year.
Musetti is ranked 8th in the world, currently in position to receive the year-end event in Turin – but just. He had strong performances in both the French and the opener, but it is no surprise without a title this season. He has had a good autumn, but Tuesday’s result may have been influenced by Tsitsipas’ poor form more than anything else. Despite the fact that the world No. 25 played all four, won two straight grand slam matches. Not two of each major. Two in total. Against a player of Mumetti’s caliber, it’s hard to imagine an upset.

(7) Andrey Rublev vs Cam Norrie
This is a tricky game for Andrey Rublev to start his tournament. The Russian had a bad patch after the opening of Australia, but he fit the ship and was able to claim the 32-23 record of the year, although he appeared to be full during the Asian Games earlier this month. Rublev holds a slim 3-2 record over cam norrie’s first opponent.
Norrie has had a surprisingly good run this season. He came some way out of reach in the quarters of Wimbledon, his home. His level dropped a bit after we opened, but that can be chalked up to just fatigue and the fact that at 30, he’s not really young.
Rublel and Norrie haven’t played since 2023, so it’s hard to draw any conclusions from their previous meetings. Looking for a fun game that can go the distance – but won’t be too upset this time around.
