Sinner vs. de minaur, zvereev vs. umetti

The top four seeds at the ATP 500 in Vienna have all advanced to the semifinals. No. 1 Jannnik Sonner goes up against No. 3 Alex de Minaur on Saturday, while No. 2 Alexander Zverev battles No. 4 Lorenzo Musetti.

(1) Jannik Sinner vs. (3) Alex de Minaur

The Beijing Semifinal match a few weeks ago was a triumph of good behavior for de Minaur and a practical victory for the sinner. De Minaur ended a humiliating run from the lost spot in the head-to-head match when he took the second set, although the Australian eventually fell 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. The 11-year-old has won all of his previous appearances entering the Esterle Bank Open Semifinals on Saturday, and the Italian is 27-2 in complete sets.

The sinner will probably return to his straight ways this time at the Vienna show. The world 2 on 2 will be locked behind after dropping a set to de Minaur in the most recent meeting, and will also get to save energy outside of the timeless Vienna and Paris Masters. Sinner has been on a roll so far this week, taking out Daniel Altmarier, Flavio Cobolli, and Alexander Bublik in straight sets. De Minaur booked his place in the top four by beating Jurij RodionOV, Filip Masiolic, and Matteo Berretti. The Third World plays well, but cannot compete with the fire of his opponent.

Select: sin 2

(4) Lorenzo Musetti vs. (2) Alexander Zvereev

Zreev and Musetti will be in debt for the fifth time in their careers on Saturday. Musetti leads the head-to-head series 3-1 and has never lost to Zreev by anything but a retirement. The Italian won twice last season – including the same event in Vienna with a 2-6, 7-6 (5-6 (5-6 – 5), 6-4 decision) – before getting the job with 7-6 (1), 6-4 in the Rowterfinals.

Thanks to his stellar form and Felix Auger-Alias-Auger-Auger-Auger-Auger-auissime’s Basel Quarterfinals on Friday, Musetti looks set to go straight to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. World 8 is 41-17 on the year following straight wins this week through Hamad Medjedovic, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, and Chentin Moutet. All three opponents got just seven games. Zeveru lost to Jake Reknley in the third seed and then ousted Matteo Arnaldi 6-4, 6-4 before receiving an allover from Tallon Griekspoor. The confidence of the German third is much lower than the wometti these days, and it does not help the No. 2 The seed that has been owned in this game in the past – including here in Vienna.

Choose: Musetti in 3
