Vasek Pospisil in Canada will retire after National Bank opens

Vasek Pospisil’s long-term professional tennis career is coming to an end.
Canadians will retire on Monday, Rogers, which was held in Toronto this month, announced on Monday that Canadians will retire.
Pospisil, 35, received the main drawing wildcards for his home event.
“It’s never easy to make a decision like this,” Pospisil said. “Tennis has always been an important part of my life, but it’s the right time to go out, both mentally and physically. I’m very grateful for having my career, especially from this small town that once felt far away.”
Pospisil is a native of Vernon, British Columbia, who has been professionally competed for 18 years and ranked 25th in the singles highest in 2014, and climbed to fourth place in doubles a year later.
Pospisil won the Wimbledon Men’s Tag Team Championship in 2014 with American Jack Sock, along with six other ATP Men’s Tag Team Championships.
He made his debut in three singles finals but never won the championship.
