Tiafoe calls non-season “ridiculous” during France’s open quarterfinals

Paris – Frances Tiafoe once reached the problem from reporters and then called it “ridiculous” that Lorenzo Musetti, the player who beat him in the open quarterfinals in France on Tuesday, received only warnings for kicking a tennis ball that accidentally hits the line villain.
“I mean, obviously, he did it and nothing happened. I think it’s ridiculous.” No. 15 seed Tiafo said after losing 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 to 8 Musetti. “Nothing happened, so there’s nothing to really talk about. Obviously, it’s inconsistent, so that’s it.”
Unlike most top tennis games that rely on electronic line phones, Roland-Garros still has humans in court to rule whether the shooting is in or out. This is Tiafoe’s independent gripe on Tuesday, as he argued there were some calls, including TV that showed he was the right one.
What happened in the past was that players hit a chair referee or a line judge who hit the ball and hurt their game – intentional or not. On Tuesday, the hit woman continued to host.
One of the most famous examples of a disqualified player is at the 2020 U.S. Open, 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic waved his racket angrily between matches and accidentally hit a female line judge on his throat.
Musetti, who won Italy’s bronze medal at the Paris Olympics and was a Wimbledon semi-finalist last year, just trailing Tiafoe 5-3 in his second match in Philippe-Chatrier’s second match.
Since Musetti got the ball, he could serve in the next game, so he took the slide of his left foot and drove into a female line judge and called behind the baseline. Musetti apologized and the chairman’s referee announced that he was warned for warnings of violations of the regulations.
There is no fine for the initial warning.
“It was a really unfortunate coincidence to be honest. I was a little scared to be honest because I really didn’t want to hurt (anyone). So I went to the referee right away and I of course said, ‘I’m sorry, I apologize to everyone,'” Musetti said. “It’s right to have a warning, but I think the referee saw no intention, which is why (he) asked me to continue.”
Soon, Tiafoe claimed that it was a set. But Musetti took over the last two times, winning the first trip to the Roland-Garros semifinals.
