Basel Tennis Pick and Prediction: Damovich Fokina vs Fonseca

Alejandro Damovich is the highest ranked player on the ATP Tour to never win a title. He has finished runner-up four times, including three this season – the last two saw the combined championship points missed.
Now, the 19-year-old is all that stands between Danovich Fokina and the visible title at the Swiss Indoors Basel.
What can happen maybe don’t go wrong?!?!
Well, a lot … at least if there is anything like the fans of the two finals that recently appeared in mamonir kecmanovic and Alex de Minaur. In Delray Beach, KecmaManovic won the last five games from 5-2 down in the third while holding two match points. In Washington, DC, De Minaur fought off three match points before getting the third bone timebreaker.
Fortunately for Davovich Fokina, there has never been much drama in Basel. The 18th-Bandid Spaniard survived solidly-Jenson Brookby with two, but otherwise wasted the little ones against Lorenzo Sonego, Casper Ruud, and Ugo Humbert. In fact, both Rudud and Humbert completed only one set (both on the bone) before retiring.

Joao Fonseca will be on the other side of the Net on Sunday, playing in his second ATP Tour and already seeking the Buenos Aires Trophy back, Viovanni Mnusshi Fonseca also received a second mullover from Jakub Mensik.
Davidvich Fokina played at an outstanding level all season long. It’s only his headers in those three Finals – holding off the 26-year-old. Of course, this is a big category for Fonseca and it won’t surprise us if nerves are also a factor for the youngster in the ATP 500 for the last time despite having the ATP 250 title.
Fonseca is a big hitter, but Davideovich Fokina is clearly a well-rounded player at this point in their careers. In what could be an up, up, down, and forward movement, being able to go to “Plan B” can make a difference for David.
It could be his time.
Pick: Damovich dial 3
