Serena Williams stars in a Super Bowl commercial, and could soon be hitting the court

Serena Williams appeared on Super Bowl Sunday – in a 30-second commercial for Ro’s GLP-1 weight loss drug. Williams spoke to Ro, saying he recently lost 34 pounds.
“Thirty-four pounds down on GLP’s 1, (I’m fine) on Ro,” the 44-year-old said locally. “I trust weight loss technology. I walk better on Ro; I feel better on Ro. I’m Serena Williams. This is me on Ro.”
Beyond the screen, we may see Serena return to the tennis court.
Last season it was revealed that Williams’ name was on the list of players registered in the test pool of the International Tennis Integrity Agency. To be eligible for official WTA and ITF tournaments, professional tennis players must be tested for performance-enhancing drugs and all other substances banned by the International Tennis Federation. Retired players, of course, have no reason to be on that list.
On Monday, the ITIA website updated its reinstatement list and revealed that Serena will have completed six months of re-entering the anti-doping testing facility on February 22.
