Sunday Night Football in Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season pits the Seattle Seahawks against the Washington Capitals. Seattle comes in with a 5-2 record, while Washington stumbles out of the gates at 3-5.

Let’s dive into my seahawks predictions.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Commanders Adds

Money Line: Seahawks -155 / Chiefs +130
Spread: Seahawks -3 (-105) / Chiefs +3 (-115)
Total: Over 48.5 (-105) / Under 48.5 (-115)

Seattle Seahawks vs Washington Commanders best bet #1: Seahawks -3 (-105)

The Seahawks have scored five of their last six games, so they enter SNF with a ton of momentum. What is particularly impressive is that they are 3-0 on the road this season. In other words, maybe there shouldn’t be a three-pointer just because it’s a road team on Sunday night.

It’s not like Washington is a great place to play, either. The Chiefs have already lost once at home with Jayden Daniels at QB, a disappointing 25-24 Back-to-back against his second games this season and is less comfortable in his meeting and is due to the help of skills. Running back austin ekler (achilles’) is done for the season and wide receiver terry mclaurin has been removed on sunday. Washington has gotten nothing from the run game in the last three contests. Jacory Croskey-Mermitt was a short revelation but has been cool in a big way. Give me a team with momentum, which is definitely SEATTLE.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Commanders Best Player Bet: Sam Darnold Over 241.5

This is a good thing for Darnold’s cross. Washington is not. For what it’s worth, the Chiefs have also given up 15 touchdowns through the air (just three teams have given up more).

To say that Darnold should be able to make big money is an understatement. When you look at his own stats and his team’s 5-2 record, it would be fair to argue that the former USC Standout is playing in the MVP-Caliber category. Darnold completed 68.2 percent of his attempts for 1,754 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has thrown for at least 242 yards in the past four games.
