Roddick joins ESPN’s Wimbledon and US Open teams

It was announced earlier this week that Andy Roddick will be part of ESPN’s coverage during Wimbledon and the US Open. Roddick has reportedly signed a multi-year deal to cover those two Grand Slams as a match analyst and studio analyst.

The 2003 US Open champion has been in tennis communications for years, highlighted by his podcast “Served” with Jon Wertheim.

“Quite simply, I’ve always been a big fan of tennis,” Roddick said. “I am thrilled to join the ESPN tennis team and look forward to bringing two of the world’s biggest tournaments together.”

The 43-year-old American reached world No. 1 and finished second four times in majors to go along with his victory in New York. All of his final slam losses have come against Roger Federer – at Wimbledon in 2004, 2005, and 2009 and at the 2006 US Open.
