Report: Milos Raonic joins Victoria Mboko’s coaching staff

One of Canada’s top emerging tennis talents appears to be adding some experience to her coaching staff.

Raonic announced his retirement in January. He last competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he was eliminated in the first round.

The 35-year-old is a former world number three who has won eight ATP Tour titles and reached the 2016 Wimbledon final.

Mboko is currently ranked ninth on the WTA Tour and recently lost to Karolina Muchova in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open.

The 19-year-old had a breakout season in 2025, winning the National Bank Montreal Open and finishing in 18th place.

Mboko lost to world number one Aryna Sabalenka at the Australian Open but bounced back to beat seventh-ranked Mira Andreeva and third-ranked Elena Rybakina at the Qatar Open to earn her first back-to-back wins over top-10 players. This led to her second WTA 1000 final, where she lost to Muchova.
