Novice Jordan Smith won the Australian Open 1 Point Slam

The stars could not withstand the pressure of the Australian Open 1 Point Slam on Wednesday.
Instead, the artist was the last man standing for the $1 million prize.
Jordan Smith won the tournament where each round was just one point. Smith, who plays at Castle Hill Tennis Club in New South Wales, knocked out Jannik Sinner and Amanda Anisimova on her way to the top spot. She beat Joanna Garland in the final when Garland sent a backhand.
“I can’t speak, it’s unbelievable,” said Smith.
Following the qualifying rounds at Melbourne Park early on Wednesday, 48 participants took part – men, women, professionals and novices alike. The top seeds were Carlos Alcaraz, Sinner, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff. Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Frances Tiafoe and Naomi Osaka were also in the field.
Zverev lost his first “match” to Garland, who also defeated Nick Kyrgios. Alcaraz was knocked out by Maria Sakkari in the third round.
