Musetti looks at ceramics after retiring from Miami

Lorenzo Musetti had been in the Miami Open tournament but withdrew earlier this week. Musetti has not fully recovered from the leg injury he suffered when he led Novak Djokovic to two sets to love in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
The Italian returned from Indian Wells but lost his opening match in straight sets to Marton Fucsovics.
“Hello everyone,” Musetti wrote on social media. “Unfortunately I have to withdraw from the Miami Open. I love playing here, but I just need a little time to feel 100% off the court. Appreciate your support and I look forward to seeing you all during the clay season!”
It’s an important clay season, too, for the world No. 5. He has 2,250 points to secure during the European swing on the heels of an outstanding 2025 campaign (650 from the Monte-Carlo final, 400 from the Madrid semifinals, 400 from the Rome semifinal, and 800 from the French Open semifinals).
Musetti was taken in place of Aleksandar Vukic in the second round in Miami.
