The Bank China Open, an ATP event scheduled for the first week of 2026 in Hong Kong, was added to its confirmed entry list on Thursday. Joining the forum were Lorenzo Musetti, Alexander Bublik, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Jerry Shang, Coleman Wong, and Yibing Wu.
Already confirmed are Arthur Fils, Lorenzo Sonego, and defending champion Alexandre Muller.
Muller needed three sets in each of his matches en route to his 2025 victory in Hong Kong, where he defeated Fils in the quarterfinals and Kei Nishikori in the championship match. Shang reached the semis before retiring against Nishikori, while Musetti was a quarterfinalist (lost to Jaume Munar 2-6, 7-6(4), 7-5).
Without the addition of tents, Musetti will be number 1 in next month’s competition. The eighth-ranked Italian is coming off a successful 2025 campaign in which he made his Nitto ATP Finals debut in Turin. Musetti won two ATP titles this past year and made a run to the semifinals at Roland Garros (losing to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz).
The Bank of China Open starts on January 5.
