Canada’s Leylah Fernandez wins, Denis Shapovalov loses at the Italian Open

Leylah Fernandez won his second clay field victory of the season.
Canada’s seeds defeated the Crotian qualifiers 6-4, 6-0 in the second round of the Italian Open on Friday on Friday.
Like all seed players, Fernandez is seeing each other in the first round.
For most Canadians, clay is not the preferred surface, so it is not uncommon to see players in this country unable to play.
Fernandez, Clay 2-2 this season, will face Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk next.
Meanwhile, Canada’s Denis Shapovalov lost his first game in Rome.
In the second round of men’s singles, the No. 27 seed made a decision to Lithuania’s Vilius Gaubas with a 6-3, 6-4 decision.
18-year-old Canadian teen Victoria Mboko plans to face No. 4 seed Coco Gauff on the Central Field in the second round later Tuesday.
Canada’s Bianca Andreescu plans to face Croatia’s No. 20 seed Donna Vekic.
