Grigor Dimitrov quits the United States due to chest injury

NEW YORK – Three-time Grand Slam semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov withdrew from the U.S. Open on Tuesday, which was the time for him tore his chest muscles for more than a month and had to resign with Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon.

His highest ranking is third. He is currently ranked 21st.

With Dimitrov’s appearance, Alejandro Tabilo has gained a spot in men’s singles brackets, which will start on August 24.

Brandon Holt is the next player and will enter a draw if another man withdraws. Holt was upset at 2022 at Taylor Fritz of Flushing Meadows, whose mother was twice-winning U.S. Open champion Tracy Austin.
