Jack Draper and Novak Djokovic played without a doubt one of the highlights of the year in their fourth round match at the BNP Paribas Open on Wednesday night.

With Djokovic serving a total of 30 in the first game of the third set, both players raced across the court between a variety of stunning shots before the 38-year-old Serb eventually got the better of him.

Djokovic held on for a marathon 1-0 lead in the final, but Draper prevailed 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) after two hours and 35 minutes.

“I came out here tonight and won that game with determination and trying to solve problems and doing my best and having a good attitude,” Draper said during an on-court interview.

The Brit failed to take out the match at 5-4, but held back at 5-6 and won the subsequent tiebreaker from the mini-break.

“I’m proud of the way I put myself back together,” he confirmed. “I haven’t played on tour (in) a long time, so to throw away guys who are top players, it’s something that comes with confidence. It was a difficult time for me, but also, it’s something I’ve been used to since I’ve been back. And I’ve put myself together really well. That’s something I can be proud of.”
