It will be a showdown between two college stars when Ethan Quinn and Rafael Jodar clash in the first round of the Delray Beach Open on Tuesday.
Quinn is very much in his stride on the pro tour, which is understandable since he’s 21 years old and Jodar is only 19. The U.S. singles champion and former NCAA champion reaches No. 70 in the world thanks in part to a third-round performance at the Australian Open (he beat Tallon Griekspoor and Hubert Hurkacz both in straight sets).
Jodar is playing well, but the Spaniard won just three games against Denis Shapovalov in the first round of the Dallas Open last week. Quinn has a great home court advantage and should cruise in front of the home crowd.
