Norrie Ousts Alcaraz, opens paris masters draw

Carlos Alcaraz crashed out of the rolex paris masters after just one match, as the top-ranked Spaniard went down to Cameron Norrie 4-6, 6-3, 6 in the second round on Tuesday night.
Norrie, who counts. The No. 1 seed
“(It’s) a big thing for me,” Norrie confirmed. “I am coming back from my injury. Last year I lost the first round of the academy here. I just tried to enjoy the success of my tennis, I am very happy against the way I did. I am very happy with the way I am doing. I had many opportunities and I had to continue and I was able to get more and I was able to stay hard and get the victory.”
Alcaraz’s exit clearly hits the top half of the open draw and perhaps marks the biggest question mark in the Nitto ATP Finals Race. Felix auger-aliassime and Casper Ruud need a title in Paris to put themselves in the right place, and both players have been meeting Alcaraz in the quarterfinals. Auger-Aliassime and Rudd will go head-to-head in three rounds if both pass on Wednesday.
