Dabrowski, Routliffe Win Cincinnati Open Women’s Tag Team Championship

Cincinnati – Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe won the Cincinnati Open Women’s Tag Team Championship and directly beat China’s Guo Hanyo and Russia’s Alexandra Panova on Sunday night.

The second seed combination of Dabrowski and Routliffe won the U.S. Open Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2023, beating seedless Hanyo and Panova and Panova 6-4, 6-3 in the P&G Center Court at the WTA 1000 event.

Dabrowski and Routliffe lead key categories such as ACE (5-1), winner (22-19), first-time loss points (71% to 63), back to the game to win (33% to 11), with the biggest game in a row (3-1).

Hanyo and Panova made 17 non-compulsory mistakes and a double fault.

Hanyo and Panova were frustrated 6-3, 6-2 in Saturday’s semifinals, Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini were frustrated 6-3, 6-2.

Dabrowski and Routliffe defeated Australia’s sixth seed duo and Ukraine’s lyudmyla kichenok in the semifinals on Friday.

Last year, Routliffe won the women’s doubles in Cincinnati, playing with American Asian Muhammad.
