Dabrowski of Canada, Routliffe of New Zealand advances to the U.S. Open Women’s Doubles Final

Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski is only one win from her fourth professional Grand Slam title.

Ottawa native and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe beat No. 2 seed Jasmine Paolini 6-4, 6-3 and Italy’s Sara Errani 6-4, 6-3 on Wednesday.

Dabrowski and Routliffe, who were born and raised in Canada, will face Taylor Townsend of Katerina Siniakova in the United States and Czech Republic in Friday’s final.

This is a rematch of the 2024 Wimbledon final won by Townsend and Siniakova.

Dabrowski and Routliffe are winning the game after winning the Open in Cincinnati before the final Grand Slam of the season.

The Can-Kiwi duo won the 2023 U.S. Open.

Dabrowski also has a mixed doubles title in the Australian Open and French Open on her resume, as well as a bronze medal in the mixed doubles at the Olympics with Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Dabrowski will play Auger-Aliassime’s final before she plays on the busy Friday of the New York Canadian.
