Canada’s Mboko Rockets ranked 24th in the world rankings after the National Bank Open

Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko won her first career WTA Tour at the National Bank Open, winning 61 career rankings 24th in the world rankings.
The 18-year-old from Toronto beat Japan’s Osaka, four-time Grand Slam champion, in three finals in Montreal on Thursday night.
Mboko grew up in Burlington, Ontario and enjoyed displacement this season.
She ended her 2024 campaign in the World No. 350 and has since won nearly $1.2 million in tears with 53-9.
Mboko will take a break and will be a seed player for the Grand Slam for the first time before starting preparations for the U.S. Open in New York.
Mboko also became the highest Canadian on the tour. Leylah Fernandez of Laval, Quebec, is the only other Canadian in the top 100, throwing two positions to No. 26.
