Canada’s M’Boko advances to Adelaide International women’s tennis final

Canada’s Victoria M’Boko reaches the Adelaide International women’s tennis final.
The 19-year-old from Toronto advanced by defeating Australia’s Kimberly Birrell 6-2, 6-1 in Thursday’s semifinals.
Mboko hit eight aces and made three double faults in the warm-up match ahead of the Australian Open.
She broke serve five times out of seven opportunities and won 80% of her points on her first serve.
Birrell didn’t have a single ace or a break point in the match.
Mboko will next face the winner of Russia’s Mira Andreeva and Diana Schneider on Friday.
