Canada’s Gabriel Diallo gives up the final Indian Well qualifying match

Montreal’s Gabriel Diallo lost 7-6 (5) to U.S. Ethan Quinn 6-2 on Tuesday, 6-2 on Tuesday.

Diallo, who ranked fourth in the qualifying round, was broken twice in the second set, including the decided Game 8.

Both players kept serving in the first set and Diallo failed to switch to a triple breakpoint in Game 4.

Quinn won the first inventory of the finals when Diallo hits the doubles.

Diallo defeated Lebanon’s Hady Habib in the first round of the qualifying match.

Alexis Galarneau of Laval, Quebec, faced Spanish veteran Pablo Carreno Busta later Tuesday and took a spot in the main draw online.
