Canada-born Dabrowski and Routliffe reached the finals at the All England Club last year, but the 2023 U.S. Open champions fell into Czechia’s Kate Siniaková and U.S. Taylor Townsend.
Siniaková and Townsend advanced to Sunday’s quarterfinals and were the top seeds of this year’s championship.
The 33-year-old Dabrowski also lost in the Grass-Court Grand Grand Championship with Xu Yifan, then-Chinese partner, in 2019.
Dabrowski is the only remaining Canadian in Wimbledon. She and Routliffe will next face No. 8 seed Veronika Kudermetova and Belgium’s Elise Mertens to gain a spot in the semifinals.
