Canada’s Dabrowski and New Zealand’s Routliff start WTA finals with victory

Ottawa’s Gabriella Dabrowski and New Zealand’s Erin Rutliff defeated Russia’s Diana Schneider and Mira Andreeva 6-3, 7-6(2) in the women’s doubles group stage of the WTA Finals on Sunday.

The third-seeded Dabrowski and Rutliff hit two aces and three double faults in the match and broke serve in three of eight chances.

Their first serve scoring rate is also as high as 76%.

Schneider and Andreeva hit three aces but had six double faults and only broke serve once in four opportunities.

The fifth seed’s first serve scoring rate is 75%.
