Jannik Sinner exits new U.S. open mixed doubles event

NEW YORK – Jannik Sinner withdrew from the U.S. Open Mixed Tag Team Championship shortly before Tuesday began, the day after he quit in Game 1 of the Cincinnati Open because he felt uncomfortable.
The No. 1 Sinner is the defending champion of Flushing Meadows singles, who was supposed to have a mixed doubles match with Katerina Siniakova.
The American Tennis Association announced the withdrawal in less than an hour of the first match in the new mixed doubles match. USTA said the Sinners and Siniakova will replace the top singles duo in the draw of 16 teams.
