After defeating Jack Draper to win the Qatar Open

Doha, Qatar – Andrey Rublev won the Qatar Open for the second time on Saturday after defeating Jack Draper 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 .
This is Rublev’s third three-set victory in three days. The Russian also played a second match against Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger-Aliassime in his first two games.
“I was really good mentally and didn’t let the frustration overcome me,” Rublef said. “Once I was frustrated, I could restart again and be able to play at the same intensity. That was the most important thing .”
This is Rublev’s 17th career champion, winning his first Doha trophy in 2020.
“This is my first title to win two times,” Rublef said. “I think we were really tired after being late for two three sets. We were exhausted, it was difficult, but we were able to Playing at a good level. When I lost the second group, I let go and started playing more freely.”
Rublev improved to 4-0 in his career against Draper.
Still, Draper will improve his career-high No. 12 ranking on Monday.
“We played some tough games this week and he was too strong for me in the third set,” Draper said. “I’m very proud of the efforts this week. Every day, I wake up And try to improve, so it proves the hard work I want to do.”
