Canada was expelled from the second round of Citi Open and lost to Rebakiner

Canada’s Victoria Mboko defeated Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina 6-3, 7-5 in the second round of the Citi Open Tennis Championship on Wednesday.

Mboko fired three Aacs in an hour and 25 minutes but made nine double faults.

The 18-year-old from Toronto also broke her two of her three chances.

Mboko led 5-4 in the second set, hoping to expand the game to the third game, but surrendered to the last three games.

Rybakina is the third seed in the tournament, with three AAC kings, but only one double fault.

She broke four of nine chances in victory.
