Sonmez is the first Turkish player to reach the third cycle of slam at Wimbledon

London – Zeynep Sonmez became the first Turkish player at the right time to reach the third cycle of the Grand Slam competition by assaulting Xennya Wang 7-5, 7-5 in Wigredon on Thursday.

He hopes his victory confirms that it would not be long before another Turkish player reached that section.

“My mother and people in my team told me that there are videos when the children watched me at home, in the TV clubs on TV,” said Sonmez. “And I hope that they are inspired or feel, ‘Well, and we can do that.'”

No Turkish man or Turkish wife made a third cycle because the open period began in 1968, though Cagla Buskcay made the second cycle at the three edge of 2016-17.

A person should return to 75 years to find the last Turkish woman to do it right until now, when you have known the Musluollbu who arrives at the third open round in 1950.

23-year-old Sonmez was supported by many Turkish fans in the crowd and took selfies and the following after the game.

“I feel that there are many Turkish people (here) and it makes me happy,” she said.

Sonmez has a WTA’s theme under her belt, Merida last year is open, but it was lost in the first round in the last major competition. This is the first look of Wimbledon.
