Iga Swiatek is in Mallorca this week at Rafael Nadal’s tennis center. The four-time French Open champion recently started working with new coach Francisco Roig, who was part of Nadal’s team from 2005 to 2022.

Both Swiatek and Nadal posted on social media about Thursday’s clay court training session.

The Spaniard wrote, “Welcome back to the Rafa Nadal Academy! Enjoy your time here! We hope you feel at home.”

Swiatek responded via Instagram news, “Thanks for having us. It’s great to be back!”

Swiatek recently parted ways with Wim Fissette after a disappointing start to his 2026 campaign. The fourth-ranked Pole has a record of 12-6 and has not advanced past the quarterfinals of any tournament.

“I decided to take another path,” explained Swiatek when he announced that decision last week. “It was a difficult time full of challenges and many important things. I am very grateful for his support, knowledge, and everything we achieved together – including one of my biggest dreams in sports…. My whole team remains the same. I know there are many questions, but I will let you know what’s next in due course.”

That time was Thursday.

After her stint in Mallorca, the 24-year-old is scheduled to make her clay court debut at the WTA 500 in Stuttgart. It takes place on April 13-19.
