Fils vs. Tsitsipas, Lehecka vs. Quinn

The third round tournament at the Miami Masters will begin on Sunday, with Stefanos Tsitsipas trying to win against Arthur Fils. Jiri Lehecka takes on hotshot Ethan Quinn, winner of the Phoenix Challenger.

(28) Arthur Fils vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas

Although a two-final meeting with Alex de Minaur would not have been ideal for many unseeded players, Tsitsipas went 13-2 in the head-to-head series. He is now 14-2 after a 6-3, 7-6 (3) victory at the Miami Open on Friday. It’s a very different story in the third round on Sunday, Tsitsipas is 0-4 lifetime against the Phils and 1-7 overall. They most recently met last spring in Rome, where the Frenchman won 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Although Tsitsipas played well – again – against De Minaur, it does not prove that he has returned to form. The 27-year-old Greek is ranked as low as No. 51 and had been on a three-game losing streak before arriving in Miami. On the other hand, the Phils are 10-4 this season and have yet to lose a game to an opponent ranked worse than No. 8 in the world.

Ethan Quinn vs. (21) Jiri Lehecka

Quinn is completely out of it so far in 2026. The 22-year-old moved up to 56 in the world thanks to a third-round performance at the Australian Open and a title at last week’s stacked Phoenix Challenger. Quinn continued his hot streak with straight wins in Miami over Hubert Hurkacz and Casper Ruud

Standing in America’s way for the second week in Miami is Lehecka, whose form has been less than incredible. The 22nd-ranked Czech is just 7-5 this year after beating 16-year-old Moise Kouame 6-2, 7-5 on Sunday. Lehecka doesn’t like it when her opponent hits bigger forehands than hers, but that will be the case with Quinn on the other side of the net. Regardless of the ratings, there would be no upset if Quinn stayed hot.

Pick: Quinn at 2
