Tennis Canada appoints Martin Laurenteau as men’s tennis president

Tennis Canada says long-time coach Martin Laurendeau will serve as the organization’s head of men’s tennis.

Laurendo will move from coaching select athletes to promoting high-level tennis across the country.

He succeeds Frank Dancevic in this role.

Laurendo is a former ATP Tour player and coach since 1994. He has been with Tennis Canada for more than 30 years in various roles.

Laurendeau served as Canada’s tennis coach for four Olympic Games from 2004 to 2016.

Tennis Canada said Danswich will remain captain of the Canadian Davis Cup team.
