Andrey Rublev and Fabian Marozsan will face each other for the fifth time in their careers when they fight for a place in the quarterfinals of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open on Wednesday.
The head-to-head series couldn’t be more competitive. They are tied 2-2 and three of their four meetings have gone to final sets; the only exception was a 7-6(2), 7-6(7) victory for Rublev on the hard indoor courts in Rotterdam in 2025.
Another good one should be on the cards, but it’s hard to pick against Rublev in Doha. He is 17-5 in the tournament with two titles – including last year’s.
