Auger-Aliassime vs. Bublik, De Minaur vs. Humbert

The blockbuster semifinal lineup in Rotterdam features the top three seeds in Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Alexander Bublik. Auger-Aliassime and Bublik go head-to-head, while De Minaur faces Ugo Humbert.
(3) Alexander Bublik vs. (2) Felix Auger-Aliassime
Auger-Aliassime and Bublik will meet for the seventh time in their careers when they meet again in the semi-finals of the ABN AMRO Open on Saturday. The head-to-head series stands at 4-2 in favor of Auger-Aliassime, who won both their 2025 matches – 7-6(7), 6-7(4), 6-3 at the Dubai ATP 500 and 7-6(3), 6-4 at the Paris Masters semis.
Both of these guys are coming off standout seasons and show no signs of slowing down this year. Auger-Aliassime took the Montpellier title last week and has advanced to Rotterdam with straight wins over Alexei Popyrin, Hamad Medjedovic, and Tallon Griekspoor. Bublik fought his way into the final by beating Hubert Hurkacz, Jan-Lennard Struff, and Jaume Munar all in three sets – the last in a deciding tiebreaker. It has been a tough week for the tenth-ranked Kazakh on the heels of a Davis Cup home game against Monaco. Auger-Aliassime, on the other hand, is well rested and completely rollable.
Select: Auger-Aliassime in 2
(1) Alex de Minaur vs. Ugo HumbertDe Minaur is one win away from a third consecutive trip to the final in Rotterdam. The 26-year-old Australian has finished second to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the past two seasons. He is 16-2 lifetime at this ATP 500 event against opponents ranked outside the top four, and so far this week De Minaur has knocked out Arthur Fils, Stan Wawrinka, and Botic van de Zandschulp.

Next up for the top seed is the eighth game against Humbert, who trail the series 5-2. The 36th-ranked Frenchman won the 2020 Antwerp final, but lost their latest hard-court contest with a 7-6 (2), 6-3 decision at the 2023 Davis Cup. Humbert is preparing for his second final of the season, having finished second in Adelaide to Tomas Machac in January. While Humbert looked good while taking out Daniil Medvedev, Guy Den Ouden, and Christopher O’Connell, De Minaur is a completely different beast – yes, even compared to Medvedev yet. World No. 8 had the upper hand in this matchup and he absolutely loves Rotterdam, so there is no reason to think that anything will change on Saturday.
Pick: De Minaur at 3
