Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime advances to semifinals at Occitany Open

MONTPELIER, France — Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime is heading into the men’s singles semifinals of the Occitany Open.
The Montreal native advanced with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over France’s Arthur Fels on Friday.
Auger-Aliassime, the tournament’s top seed, hit 12 aces without any double faults, scored 93% of his first-serve points, and broke serve three times out of five opportunities.
He also held Fiers without a break chance.
Sixth seed Phils hit 2 aces and 1 double fault, with a first-serve scoring rate of only 55%.
Auger-Aliassime will next face the winner of the quarterfinal match between France’s Titouan Droege and Netherlands’ Talon Grikspoor.
