Preview of Thunder vs. Spurs NBA, picks, and predictions

The most intriguing rivalry of the 2025-26 NBA campaign will add another chapter when the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs return to San Antonio on Wednesday night. Oklahoma City (40-11) won the most recent meeting at home on Jan. 13, but San Antonio (33-16) still leads the season series 3-1.
Let’s get into my Thunder vs. Spurs.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs odds
Money line: Thunder -130 / Spurs +110
Spread: Thunder -2.5 (-105) / Spurs +2.5 (-115)
Total: Over 226.5 (-110) / Under 226.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs best bet #1: Spurs +2.5 (-115)
This is a good spot for the Spurs, especially as slight underdogs. They crushed the Thunder 130-110 the last time these two rivals met in San Antonio on Dec. 23. Plus, OKC is playing the second leg of a back-to-back series after getting the best of Orlando at home on Tuesday night. Adding insult to injury for the visitors, Jalen Williams may miss his ninth straight game with a hamstring problem. Williams is averaging 16.8 points, 5.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game, so his absence could be critical.
The weather has cooled off late, because Williams was not there. The defending champs still boast the best record in the league, but are just 3-4 in their last seven games and 5-5 in their last 10. San Antonio is 6-3 in its last nine starts and has lost just once at home since January 3. Victor Wembanyama has scored 25 or more points in the last eight games and has blocked four or five shots in the last four. Don’t be surprised if the home team wins this hat.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs best player bet: Dylan Harper 9.5 Points (-115)
Here comes Dylan Harper! It took No. 2 overall pick is a long shot to continue his NBA career, but the rookie is heating up as we approach the all-star break. He scored 16, 20, and 15 points in the last three games, while finishing with a season average of 10.7 ppg.
Harper scored 12 points in the last head-to-head matchup with Oklahoma City. He should be in line for another successful night Wednesday, in part because fellow shooting guard Stephon Castle is in danger of missing his second straight contest with a groin injury. The castle is questionable, so it will be sidelined or perhaps limited to minutes. Still, Harper should see more court time.
