Mboko, Jenn among International Tennis Federation’s breakout players

LONDON — Vicky Mboko, Janice Tjen, Lilli Tagger, Arnaud Bailly and Luka Mikrut have been selected as part of the International Tennis Federation’s Class of 2025 by a panel deemed to be “promising and breakthrough” talents in the sport.
The five players were announced this week in line with the ITF World Tennis Tour season.
The 19-year-old Canadian player Mboko won four consecutive ITF World Tennis Tour titles at the beginning of the year, then won the WTA 1000 event in Montreal and reached the third round at the French Open.
Tjen, 23, has won five consecutive ITF World Tennis Tour titles, including a 27-match winning streak, and became the first Indonesian player to compete in a Grand Slam main draw since 2004 when she defeated No. 24 seed Veronika Kudermetova at the U.S. Open. Tjen won her first WTA Tour trophy in November.
The 17-year-old Austrian player Tagl is the youngest WTA Tour level finalist this season. He entered Jiujiang, China as a wild card in October.
Bailly, a 20-year-old from Belgium, has a 60-19 record and reached nine finals in 2025, improving his ranking from No. 802 to just above the top 200.
Mikrut, a 21-year-old Croatian, won four ITF World Tennis Tour titles in March and April without dropping a set each time.
Past players selected by the ITF for this honor include Mirra Andreeva, Iva Jovic, Learner Tien and Jakub Mensik.
