Alcaraz wins ATP’s 2025 Stefan Edberg SportsManship award

Carlos Alcaraz received the honor of the Stefan Edberg SportsMassing awards for the second time in his career on Tuesday.
Alcaraz also won the sports award in 2023. He is the eighth player to win more times, joining Roger Federer (13), Alex Cortetja (Alex Cortetja (two), and Srichahan (two).
One example of the Spaniard’s best performance this season came in the France opener during the quarter-final against Ben Shelton. Working at 0-0, 30-all in the second place, Alcaraz gave Shelton this point even though he didn’t see that the hero would eventually leave after the racket had already left his hand.
“You know, I have to say, I thought, ‘Okay, I couldn’t say anything,’ but I didn’t feel guilty,” said Alcaraz at the time of that, “explained Alcaraz who didn’t say anything about it. “It’s about knowing that I did something wrong, a wrong shot or an illegal photo, I have to say. I have to be honest with myself. Each time.
“I think that’s the game, though [it] it should be like this. Just be fair with the opponent, too. I said it because I knew it was an illegal shooting. It shouldn’t be allowed, so that’s why I said it. “
2025 ATP ATPs are being announced throughout this week. Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori were named the doubles team of the fans, while Andrey Rublev was the prize winner.
