Monday night football in week 14 of the 2025 NFL season is the biggest matchup in the NFC between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions. Both teams are in contention for a division title or a wild card spot in the playoffs. Dallas comes with a 6-5-1 record, while Detroit registers at 7-5.

Their records may be similar, but this is a tale of two teams going in opposite directions. The cowboys are on the rise, winning three straight – including two Super Bowl participants in Kansas City and Philadelphia. Dallas’ defense With some pressure finally taken on offense, Dak Prescott and company are rolling. Prescott is playing at an MVP level, receiver George Piclens has been on a roll in his first year with the Cowerboys, and the cedee lamb has gone on to produce – especially in this winning season.
The other side, on the other hand, is 3-4 in its last seven starts after starting the 2025 campaign 4-1. Adding insult to injury (or vice versa), Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered a sprained ankle in the Thanksgiving loss to Green Bay and is questionable Thursday. It sounds like he’s walking the same path and not playing. Te saphorta was made for a year and he spared the brock (neck) out. The Lions are also heavily into the offensive line. The three-point spread suggests this could be a neutral field play. Right now, though, it looks like Dallas is clearly the higher side. The visitors have to cover and maybe even win.

Picks has surpassed this number in six of his last 9 games, and two of those three saw him finish with 78 and 79 yards. The bottom line is that the Raiders haven’t had a bad game since Week 1 against Philadelphia. His hot streak includes four career carries of at least 134 yards, including at least 144 yards in the past three weeks.
There’s no reason to think the Georgia product will slow down Detroit, which allows the ninth-most yards per pass attempt in the NFL (7.2). The past two weeks have given up 234 passing yards to Green Bay’s Jordan Love and the Giants’ Jameis Winston. The Lions, however, are decent at defending tight ends. They allowed a whopping 12-fewer points with the most number five catches on opposing tees. That means Jake Ferguson could endure a tough cut on Thursday, where the offense (and Lamb) are back up.
