The Big Week 14 College Football Slate is organized in part by the Iron Bowl – The Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers on Saturday night. The Crimson Tite are 9-2 and trying to secure a spot in the SEC division; The Tigers have lost a streak of one game and are 5-6.
Let’s dive into my Alabama vs.
Alabama vs. Auburn Odds
– Money Line: Alabama -218 / Aubun +180
– Point spread: Alabama -5.5 (-108) / Aubun +5.5 (-112)
– Over / under: over 46.5 (-105) / Under 46.5 (-115)
Alabama vs. Auburn Best Bet #1: Under 46.5 (-110)
The total is down from 48.5, which is not really surprising. The Crimson Tite is 10th nationally in scoring defense with 16.2 points per game allowed; The Tigers gave up 20. 1 PPG. Alabama is also 9th in rushing defense (270.5 yards per game allowed); Auburn is top 40 in that department (333.6 yards per game allowed). Despite being 1-6 in the second, the Tigers are not giving up points easily. 11 against the run (94.0 yards per game allowed) and fifth in yards per rushing attempt allowed (2.7).
Unfortunately for the home team, their offense was lacking. In six of its losses, Auburn has scored 17 points or fewer — and that includes one overtime game. The Tigers lost to Kentucky 10-3 at home earlier this month. Ashton Daniels returned to the starting quarterback role and played in just three games during the 2025 campaign. Throughout his college career (including three years at Stanford), Daniles threw almost as many interceptions (21) as touchdowns (23). Auburn often plays basic football – a recipe for long things. Tigers can drive the ball and stop running. The more they keep scoring, the more often they score runs and the more plays they use.
There have been wild metal bowls in recent years that have been very high in strikeouts, but those don’t really present the associated defensive barriers. The top five meetings of 10 to the head do not produce more than 46 points.
Alabama vs. Auburn best player to bet on: Jeremiah Cobb over 72.5 rushing yards (-114)
CobB has rushed for at least 72 yards in the last four games, including four straight against SEC opponents. This extends three features of 111 meters or more. Junior from Montgomery, Ala. He has surpassed that mark of 72.5 yards six times this season, five of which have been over 100 yards.
There’s no reason to think Cobb will let Alabama down. As the underdog, Auburn will want to run the ball as often as possible and keep the clock running. It’s a way to attack the Crimson Tit Defense, though. ‘BAMA is No. 4 in the nation against the pass, but gives up 121.8 rushing yards per contest on 3.8 yards per attempt. Count on COBB getting a ton of Tarries, so a mediocre effort by his standards should see him past 72.5.
