Looking back at my 2025 men’s vow

My amazing grand slam prediction in 2025 was very successful. A year into the culture behind it, it’s time to look back at where things have gone and where they’re going.

Australia is open

Harvest: Novak Djokovic

The result: Jannik dinner

Djokovic actually had a great year, reaching the semifinals at all four majors. Unfortunately for the 38-year-old (and Aussie Open Pick), Sini and Carlos Alcaraz were too long a bridge to cross. I had Alexander Zverishing Runner-up, at least the Melbourne prediction turned out to be correct.

French is on

Harvest: Carlos Alcaraz

The result: Carlos Alcaraz

My run of consecutive logical choices began in Paris, although it was not without sweat – the most important sweat of all time. Alcaraz came back clearly after Triple Sin ending the runner-up was bullesy.

Wimbledon

Harvest: Jannik dinner

The result: Jannik dinner

Although the sinner – and this choice – needed help from gigor dimitrov in the third round, it was a well-deserved success. Apart from a two-set fight against Dimitrov in the fourth round, the Italian was the best player from start to finish at the All-England Club. I had Jack Draper as a runner-up, who looked like a promising hot longshot at the start of the season… until injury again cut the Brit short.

The US is open

Harvest: Carlos Alcaraz

The result: Carlos Alcaraz

I predicted Alcaraz winning two majors in 2025 – and in straight spots. His second victory was a typical one, including a sinner at the end. Admittedly, though, Daniil Medvevevev was my runner-up choice. The winner of the 2021 US open finally warmed up towards the end of the year, but was a complete disaster in all four slams.
