There is no denying that Buffalo is the better team. That said, Houston plays at home and boasts an incredible defense. Six points can go a long way, especially when games are low-scoring — and that often is when the Texans are involved. They know how to make this a defensive slog and keep it to one contest, if not a win. The Democo Ryans coaching team is also tied for No. 5 for 16 takes.
On the other side of the ball, Houston Quarterback CJ Stroud is still sidelined by a concussion. However, Davis Mills is a very strong backup with a lot of experience. Mills was solid in four appearances (three starts) during the 2025 campaign, completing 60.0 percent of his attempts with three touchdowns and one interception. Meanwhile, Buffalo has lost three of its last three road games, including Atlanta by 10 points and Miami by 17 points. Those are side effects considering the quality – or lack thereof – of the opposition. Count the Texans competing from start to finish in TNF.

As good as Houston’s defense is, it’s probably the best option against Josh Allen and the Bills to keep their offense in place for as long as possible. They give up 153.0 yards per game on the ground (second most in the league) and allow 5.4 yards per attempt (also second most).
