Meanwhile, the Lonhorns struggled in the street. They played four real road games in 2025 and had a 2-2 record to show for their efforts, losing to Ohio State and Florida. Their two wins both came against two of the worst teams in the SEC (Kentucky and Mississippi State). UGA Quarterback Gunner Stockton filled in for the injured Carson Beck in the second half of the 2024 SEC Championship, so he knows how to beat Texas. He’s a much better player now, too, to the point where he’s in the Theisman Trophy conversation. Stockton has caught 22 passing touchdowns this year (15 passing, seven rushing) while throwing just two interceptions. Tiger, GA. This is a nice insight for him against Texas. The ‘Horns are giving up 235.3 yards passing per game. Conversely, Ut is amazing against the no-run. 2 Nationally at 78.7 yards per game on 2.4 yards per carry. Count on Georgia to rely on its passing game to move the ball.
