The 2025 ATP season will finally end, but not before one last event as prestigious as it gets without the four majors. It’s the Nitto ATP Finals, a singles final that will be played in Turin, Italy for the fifth time.
It will also decide the world-ending world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sonner split four grand slams with two titles combined, so it’s only fitting that their battle for the top spot goes straight to the wire. Alcaraz held the upper hand throughout the season on the heels of a three-month suspension, but the sinner kept himself in contention for the latest title at the Paris Masters. If the Italian lifts the Turin trophy, he can finish No. 1 If Alcaraz wins it’s more than two games this week. As such, the stakes at the Nitto ATP Finals are sky high – again because of the ranking points and prizes involved.

The withdrawal of Novak Djokovic means that Musetti is the only alternative. It also means that the groups are refined.
