Humbert vs Sonego, Ruud vs Korda

France’s Ungo Humbert, the No. 4, will take on regular foes Lorenzo Sonengo in the Stockholm Quarterfinals. Norway’s Casper, the 2 seed, and American Sebastian Korda will also be in action on Friday.
(4) Ugo humbert vs lorenzo sonego
This will be the ninth meeting between Ugo Humbert and Lorenzo Sonego. Humbert holds the edge so far at 5-3, and perhaps especially the Frenchman who had won both of their previous 2025 matches. Humbert posted a straight-sets defeat of national champion Matteo Berretti in the second round to earn his spot in the quarterfinals.
Sonego has endured a very disappointing year. Until this week, she could not win more than one match at a time as she made the round of 16 at Wimbledon. The Italian got a few wins in the first two rounds thanks to Arthur Feery and Aleksandar Kovacevic, but Humbert is a different kind of player than Sonego.
Humbert is at his best in these fast-paced indoor competitions. Look for the fourth seed to advance.

(2) Casper Ruud vs. Sebastian Korda
Bad luck seems to be following American Sebastian Korda. No World. The 60-year-old suffered a shocking series of injuries and illnesses in 2025 that led to his devastating struggles (he was ranked as high as 15th in the world in just one hour in August). This year he was out for emergency months, making the semis in Winston-Salem only to withdraw due to illness, and then having problems getting him out of the US open. Korda is a dangerous player when healthy, but that happens a lot to keep his position inside the top 20.
Casper Ruud has his own issues to deal with in 2025. The Norwegian had a strong season on a strong court, and had the title of kings in Madrid, but although he managed Marin Clilic in the second market to reset Korda on Friday.

Classification Regardless, this is Korda’s winning game. Ruud will still be loved. When he’s not playing at home, of course by suffocation In the Norwegian home tournament – and he looked strong against cilic. But don’t be shocked if Korda pulls badly.
