Canada’s Victoria M’Boko loses fourth straight match at Ningbo Open

Victoria Mboko has had a rough go of it since her victory at home.
The Canadian teenage star lost her fourth straight match at the Ningbo Open in China on Tuesday, losing in straight sets to Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska 6-3, 7-6(3).
Mboko has yet to win a set since defeating Naomi Osaka in the final of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal.
The 19-year-old’s latest loss came due to some struggles with her serve, as she double-faulted seven times against Yastremska and failed to hit an ace. Mboko also gave up six of 14 break points, but converted five of nine of her own.
Since winning in Canada, Mboko, of Burlington, Ont., has also lost first-round matches at the U.S. Open, China Open and Wuhan Open.
After her latest loss, she is ranked 22nd in the WTA live rankings.
