Jannik Sinner beats learner Tien in China Open Final

Beijing – Jannik Sinner continued to prepare for the Shanghai Masters by defeating American junior learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 in Wednesday’s final.

Sinaton has rebounded from his public disappointment by winning his third title of the season – his 21st championship, and has performed with the 19-year-old Tien, a second-year player to enter the finals of the game.

“We’re going to try to improve and push more, let’s look at the rest of the season, but I’m happy,” Sina said.

Sina next goes to Shanghai and will be a favorite after Carlos Alcaraz exits as he suffered an ankle injury in the first round of the Japan Open, which he won on Tuesday.

Sinner won his 11th professional match against Alex de Minaur in the Chinese Open semifinal on Tuesday. Sinner’s 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 victory was the ninth consecutive final in the Hard-Court Championship. Tien was ranked 52nd and played in his first Tour finals after Daniil Medvedev retired when he retired at 5-7, 7-5, 4-0.

Beijing’s ATP event was held at the same time as the WTA 1000 Championship, which entered its fourth round and ended Sunday. Among those who competed in the fourth round late Wednesday were seeded Iga Swiatek and fifth seed Jessica Pegula.

The second seed Coco Gauff is already eligible for the quarterfinals and she plans to face Eva Lys on Thursday.
