Federer is excited with the support of Laver Cup and hopes he can compete at the Chase Center

SAN FRANCISCO – Roger Federer threw some tricks and several leg shots to dazzle some young players who were dizzy and left a few minutes of game hitting the 20-time Grand Slam champion.

In the town of Laver Cup at the Chase Center, where he supported and promoted, Federer participated in six renovated courts at John McLaren Park in southeastern San Francisco for the event’s Community Heritage Project, which was completed at each site.

He grinned as he worked out his strategy with Yannick Noah, who would be the captain of the European team to participate in the tennis display cabinet.

Federer had an explosive rally with the kids Tuesday afternoon, and part of him wanted to play here, and he hoped he would visit more cities throughout his career. Federer signed an autograph and was obliged to take selfies for fans. He even hit several goals with San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie.

“Go to a park like this, spend time with the kids, motivate them and talk tennis and see what we did with Laver Cup here,” the Swiss star, 44, said. “So I’m glad we finally came and I’m back. I had a great time last March and you guys are so friendly to me. So I’m glad to be here again.”

Federer retired three years ago at the age of 41, and he first glimpsed the unique Black court in the Golden State Warriors arena and was eager to go out.

“I look really special,” Federer said. “I feel so sad that it’s not the word, but I missed the words I can’t play because it’s a place I want to play. I chatted with Tim Henman later at the hotel and said, ‘It’s going to be a great place to play tennis.’ So I’ll miss it, but I’ll love it’s fans.”

Although Casper Ruud and others have trained on the court, the official practice day will be held Thursday to give fans a first glimpse of the great man.

Patrick Rafter can’t wait to see the Golden State Warriors supporting the arena in one arena, usually the main attraction. Rafter is the assistant captain of the Team World, working with Captain Andre Agassi.

“They are a lot of names around the world, and Stephen Curry is one of the main characters,” Left said. “So, yes, hope we can meet them, hang out or something. We’re in this amazing place. I didn’t realize it sits on a lot of people – 18,000 people, that’s big. It’s big. It’s great. It’s great here and playing tennis, sitting down, watching them. Just look at some people, watching some people warm up, it’s a great environment, it’s a great environment.”
