Alcaraz-never Spain

Marbella, Spain – Spain won 3-2 from Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Denmark and qualified for the Davis Cup final No. 8, but Australia has not made such a return as it lost 3-2 to Belgium.

Czech racing won the race 3-2 in Florida on Saturday, overcame Taylor Fritz and the United States.

Spain has no top-ranked Carlos Alcaraz, who lost two starts in doubles after Jaume Munar and Pedro Martinez beat August Holmgren and Johannes Ingildsen to beat Marbella’s masters 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Martinez also faced the match point (which could have sent Denmark) in the first reverse singles match and then saw a 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (3) beating Holger Rune.

Pablo Carreño Busta then defeated Elmer Møller 6-2, 6-3, downing Spain’s return home for the first time in history.

Australia also fell from 2-0 after Alex de Minaur beat Zizou Bergs 6-2, 7-5, forcing the decider to win in a nervous 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-4 victory, Rinky Hijikata and Jordan Thompson won against Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen.

But the world does not. 91 Raphaël Collignon supported his victory against No. 8 De Minaur the day before and faced Aleksandar Vukic with a 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-3.

The U.S. tie level against 1-1 enters the second day, with U.S. playing a tense doubles match against Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik, 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4.

Jiri Lehecka then beat Fritz in fifth place with a win of 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, and then Mensik rolled Frances Tiafoe 6-1, 6-4 to cover the Czech tie.

Additionally, on Saturday, Argentina, Austria and France joined Germany, winning victory in the Netherlands, Hungary, Croatia and Japan, respectively, ensuring their position in the Bologna final.

The two-time defending champion Italy is eligible for the final round of November.
