Alcaraz Downs Sinner won the sixth Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open, ranking first

New York – Carlos Alcaraz won 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the U.S. Open final with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory, gaining an advantage in Flushing Meadows’ second trophy and ranking sixth in the Grand Slam. It was the third consecutive Grand Slam Championship, where these elites, young competitors meet to decide the championship.
The game started by about half an hour, while thousands of fans were trapped outside the Arthur Ashe stadium while experiencing additional safety as President Donald Trump sat in the sponsor’s suite. The extra wait is perhaps the first seed sinner of the defending champion.
From the beginning, Alcaraz surpassed the sinner under the enclosed rooftops, and turned the result around when playing for Wimbledon’s title less than two months ago due to rain earlier in the day.
Alcaraz’s lead over Sinner is now 10-5 in their head-to-head series, with a main trophy 6-4 and 2-1 in the U.S. Open. In addition, this 2-hour, 42-minute victory allowed Alcaraz, 22, from Spain, to rank first from Sinner, 24, in Italy.
The tough game came after Alcaraz beat Sinner, removing the three-man on the red clay at the French Open in June, and Sinner’s victory over Alcaraz on the grass in Wimbledon in July.
“I see you more than my family,” Alkaraz joked, causing the sinner’s smile. “It’s great to share the stadium, share the locker room, everything.”
Sunday’s showdown represents the first time in tennis history, with the same two men playing against each other in three consecutive finals in a season.
“You’re better than me,” Sina told Alkaraz. “I did my best today. I can’t.”
The truth is, these two guys are so, much better than the other men’s tennis at the moment. Their traits are unique, their strengths are multiple, and their game is currently untouchable.
Of course, except for the other party.
Together, they collected the past eight Grand Slam trophys, and 10 of Novak Djokovic, whom Alcaraz eliminated on Friday.
Sinner has won the last 27 tough games in the Grand Slams, and Alcaraz has glimpsed the reasons why they are so good, although rarely at the same time, perform best.
Alcaraz doubled the 42-21 title, showing excellent performances in the first, third and fourth groups. Sina’s highest effort arrived on the second time.
Sinner has won 33 of 34 games in the Grand Slam since the start of the 2024 U.S. Open. Sunday was his fifth straight final in these events. loss? Go to Alcaraz in Roland-Garros.
Indeed, over the past two seasons, the Sinners are now 1-7 against Alcaraz and 109-4 against everyone else.
Meanwhile, Alcaraz has won 37 of 38 games since May. loss? Alcaraz’s only defeat in the Grand Slam final in the All-British club.
In 2025, Alcaraz now has more championships than he loses (seven on the tour) (his record is 61-6 and the best in men’s tennis).
When Wimbledon defeated Wimbledon, Alcaraz was caught by a camera and told his team in Spanish: “From the court, he’s much better than me.”
Perhaps that’s why Alcaraz was on a radical Sunday with his forehand and the sledgehammer on the bull’s-eye. Whenever the smallest opening comes, Alcaraz tries to barge through that shot, doing big things early in the scoring, either for victory or forcing the sinner to make mistakes.
Sinner lost only one service game in all three games that reached the finals, but he did deal with abdominal muscle issues in the semifinals. The Sinner and one of his coaches said that it was nothing serious and that was probably correct, but Alcaraz fell immediately, five times in total.
To offset the effectiveness of the forehand, sinners made tactical changes, and, where possible, more and more Arkaraz’s backhand.
In the first and third sets, the Alcalazz ratio was 11 winners and two unforced errors. Really outstanding. In the second, the numbers turn into another way: five winners, 11 unforced errors.
One hour and 20 minutes, it was a game, as Alcaraz ceded all tournaments for the first time, allowing Neale Fraser to win the latest men’s difference in the match he won every match in 1960.
When Sinner enters things, he will celebrate points by pulling his fist into the box, where his coach and others, including Olympic champion ski racer Lindsey Vonn, take his seat.
Ah, but it was Alkaraz who seemed to have more tickets to buy around him.
They cheered him up with applause. For a particularly magical volley, hit an incredible angle before the ball hit the court – even Alkaraz himself liked that, saying “Wow!” and giving a broad smile. For a special overhead smashing towards the corner and with fireflies tail movement.
Needless to say, sinners are not that satisfied with these strokes.
He bounced the racket from the ground and grabbed it after a lost point. He exhale and shook his head again.
The sinner saw nothing from anyone else.
