Propeller – aliassime exits from Canada’s Davis Cup tie on fatigue

Canadian Tennis Canada announced on Saturday that Felix Auger-Aliassime has withdrawn from Canada’s upcoming Davis Cup tie due to fatigue.

The World Group of My Tie is scheduled to be held in Halifax from September 12 to 13.

The Montrealian will play high-quality games at the U.S. Open, where he reached the semifinals with a No. 25 seed on Friday.

Russian Diamonds – Aliassime was ousted by the world number one Jannik Sinner in Italy.

This is Aliassime’s second semifinal in the Grand Slam, which is the distance he has made at the U.S. Open in 2021.

The 25-year-old beat the third-seed Alexander Zverev, the 15th-seed Andrey Rublev and the eighth-seed Alex de Minaur before meeting the sinner in the semifinals.
